The Consumer Services Department is the investigative arm of OCI. Our job is to ensure fair and equitable dealings between insurers, agents, and policyholders. If you have a complaint about your insurance provider or agent, or how a claim is being handled, we may be able to help you resolve the issue.
Consumers and providers may also use our complaint portal to report suspected mental health parity violations by Georgia insurers.
The mission of the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire Criminal Investigations Division (OCI-CID) is to protect Georgia citizens against economic loss and victimization by thoroughly investigating individuals and criminal organizations suspected of committing fraudulent insurance acts and other related crimes.
The Consumer Services Division works to resolve complex claims problems between health care providers and managed care insurers. If you are a provider with a complaint, submitting using the Consumer Complaint Portal is the preferred and quickest complaint process.
